Fire Operations Team

The Fire Operations Team manages fire suppression activities. Duties include choosing equipment and proper placement of the equipment on apparatus for fast and efficient fire suppression and investigation of hazards.

The team also selects the types of hose and nozzles, as well as hose loads, used on apparatus. For instance, the team recently met and chose a new hose load, leading to more effective and much faster placement of hose lines on fire scenes.

The Fire Operations Team also contributes by coordinating several specialized fire trainings throughout the year, such as multiple company drills and special drills with companies participating in the Automatic Mutual Aid Response (AMAR) system.
