Recreational firesCity ordinances prohibit fires used to burn brush or leaves, but cooking or recreational fires are permitted under certain circumstances. All recreational fires should be no larger than 3x3x3 feet and only dry wood should be burned. An extinguishing method, like a garden hose or extinguisher should be nearby in case of an emergency. Because many of these fires create smoke which could be mistaken for a structure on fire, call us at 848-3272 or the city's communications center at 848-8484 before you light the fire and after it is out. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
